We hope you enjoyed your visit to the 2008 Grassland & Muck event and would like to thank you for your support.
Grassland & Muck is the leading industry event focusing on grass, forage and muck attracting more than 12,000 livestock farmers and contractors.
Organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of England in partnership with Yara UK, the event brings together the latest technology and technical information for livestock farmers.
The 2008 event will host 200 exhibitors showcasing a wide range of products and services from the latest grass varieties and forage machinery to manure management and application systems.
Machinery Demonstrations are the highlight of the event with all the leading manufacturers showcasing their latest grassland machinery in action on silage plots.
The 2008 event will provide technical advice in the Keenan seminar programme on grassland management from agronomy to feeding, and livestock performance on both fresh grass and conserved forage.
Big on Muck! There will be greater emphasis on the muck side of the event for 2008 with a larger muck demonstration area than ever before. Experts will be addressing the issues surrounding the new NVZ legislation, offering free on-site muck testing with instant results.
The 2008 event is a business day out not to be missed, visitors will have a chance to:

Collect BASIS points at Grassland & Muck
All BASIS registered visitors to the Grassland & Muck event can collect up to three CPD points for visiting different areas of the event. Just make sure you bring your BASIS card with you on the day.
To collect your points, simply visit the specified area of the event below and present your BASIS card to have the bar code scanned. The breakdown of points and the collection locations are:
- Registration (present your card for scanning at the visitor entrance) – 1 PN point
- NIAB’s stand in the sown trial plots (stand 312) – 1 CP point
- ECSFDI in the Manure and Nutrient Management Centre (stand 902) – 1 PN point
