Keenan Seminar Programme

Maximising profit from grass is about more than just machinery. Industry experts will be providing valuable advice in the Keenan sponsored seminar programme on profitable grassland management from agronomy to feeding, and focusing on livestock performance on both fresh grass and conserved forage.

For the first time, the seminars will be supported by practical demonstrations to help you get better returns from your grass.

Details of the seminar programme are available here.

Variety trial plots

Don’t miss the chance to see the latest trials and varieties in situ in the sown grass plots. Occupying 1.5 acres in the middle of the event you will find demonstration plots from NIAB, IGER, Glenside, Nickerson’s, Oliver Seeds, United Phosphorus, DLF Trifolium, Dow Agrosciences and Germinal Holdings. You will even be able to earn BASIS CPD points for visiting the plots.

Manure and Nutrient Management Centre

Our new Manure and Nutrient Management Centre located in the muck area of the event and sponsored by the England Catchment Sensitive Farming Delivery Initiative (ECSFDI), will address the issues surrounding the revised NVZ legislation coming into force in May 2008.

Information and advice from key organisations will be on hand to help you understand the implications for your business. For the first time, the event will offer you the chance to bring samples of manure or slurry for free nutrient testing using NIRS technology.
